Congratulations Ryan Young (ryanyoung) on winning the "Lemax Report Of The Month" for September 2009!

Ryan has won himself a fantastic fishing rod courtesy of Report of the Month sponsor Lemax.

Ryan's report titled "Woohoo, finally a big fish....and PB to boot", was the result of a few months solid effort and trial and error to capture his intended quarry, the might y Threadfin Salmon.

Ryan had taken all the members of BFO with him for this ride, detailing the small successes and failures along the way. Information like this, finalised with a great success is invaluable to new members starting out for the first time.

It must also be noted that Ryan was nominated for several reports this month, but this first great success was chosen as it was the catalyst.

altCongratulations James Wahry (JamesW) on winning the "Report Of The Month" for August 2009!

James has won himself a fantastic fishing rod courtesy of Report of the Month sponsor Lemax.

The Brisbane Fishing Online "Report Of The Month" is judged on several criteria including quality of fish caught, quality of content, quality writing and of course quality of pictures!

James's report was a culmination of 3 successful sessions in local Brisbane waterways. In the space of a week, James went from having never caught a jew on lures, to having 3 under the belt! Pretty sure the smile in the picture says it all.

The content of the report showed not only fantastic enthusiasm for the captures, but also helped anyone else hoping to repeat this great achievment with all the info they will need. Not only this, but the report proved that land based fishing is a still a very viable option for serious fish!
