Brisbane Bay Tours are planning to run an early morning charter and an evening/night charter each day of the competition and is looking for entrants who are keen to get to the competition winning fish to team up with us each day. We will work in with the prevailing tides and other fish feeding factors to get each charter at least one tide change to maximise chances of being there when they are biting. I might be giving our tactics away but at this stage we are considering these places to target. There are still a lot of prawns about in the lower reaches of the Bay around the Islands and where there is food there is fish hunting them down! We will target Snapper, Jew, Tailor, Bream and Flathead around the islands and reefs off Victoria Point for those species and likewise at the front rock wall of the Brisbane River there have been some great Snapper and Jew in particular chomping on the big run of prawns this year in the river. That allows us to get out fishing no matter what weather using the shelter of the islands or the river to ensure our team will have the best chance of hooking into a big one for the weigh in.Of course we have other spots that we will hit but you will have to be with us to know where they are!
Departure and return times will be worked out with the customers. Aiming for a solid 8 hour trip or longer or shorter by negotiation. We have four positions available on each of the early morning and evening night trips and can stretch that to five if you want to fish with your mates.
