 Congratulations to ellicat for winning the June 2010 Damiki Fish Of The Month Competition. Ellicat secured this award by capturing the longest Snapper (Pargus Auratrus) during the month of June.
Ellicat caught this awesome fish while on board with BucKat List Fishing Charters. The fish was caught on a 7 Inch GULP. The competition was tough last month with several sensational snapper being submitted. A reminder goes out to all those competing to check the entry requirements before submitting. There were several fish entered in the month of June that were highly competitive, but due to lack of correct entry format had to be demmed ineligible.

 Congratulations to flexo for winning the May 2010 Damiki Fish Of The Month Competition. Flexo secured this award by capturing the longest mantle length squid for the month of May.
Despite not being a target species for the 2010 Moreton Bay Classic, Flexo and his crew could not resist getting into the plentiful number of cephalopods on offer in the bay at this years event.
Flexo and the others aboard his boat landed some hefty specimens, including actually being busted off by several larger ones! At the end of the competition though Flexo's effort of 28.5cm (mantle length) proved supreme.
The Fish OF The Month for June 2010 is Snapper (Pargus Auratrus)!
With the weather cooling down and decent captures already recorded we can expect some stiff competition.

 Congratulations to eg_vtec for winning the April 2010 Damiki Fish Of The Month Competition. Eg_vtec secured this award by landing and submitting the longest Jew for the month of April.
The fish was caught on a Squidgy podgy and was made all the more impressive by the fact it was caught land based. This should prove great inspiration for all those land based fisho's out there!
The Fish OF The Month for May 2010 is Squid so get jigging!

 Congratulations to Tugger for winning the March 2010 Damiki Fish Of The Month Competition. Tugger secured this placing by landing a magnificent 116cm Spanish Mackerel after an already very successful bottom bashing session of North Stradbroke Island.
A special mention also goes out to Nadders for his exceptional Wahoo capture. After much deliberation, and conferring with Nadders it was decided that a Wahoo was not eligible for the Mackerel category. Although Mackerel and Wahoo share the membership of the Scombridae family (along with Tuna's and Bonito's) they do not share the same Scientific name as all named Mackerel "Scomber or Scomberomorus".
Now that the precedent is set however, and as Whaoo seem to be a "stand alone" species, they will be included in the Mackerel category for any future BFO competitions or events.
The Fish OF The Month for April 2010 is Jewfish/Mulloway.

The target species for the February 2010 Damiki Fish Of The Month competition is Mangrove Jack (Lutjanus argentimaculatus).
How to submit Entries:- Entries must be received by 8pm on the last day of each month. Entries must be in the format shown below (a good idea would be to copy and paste and then fill out for your catch).
Angler:
Species:
Where Caught: (location eg Bretts Wharf or Pelican Banks etc)
When:
Size: Length (overall)
Weight: if possible
Photo: Attach photo by browsing and finding the photo/s and then when finished writing your entry hit submit and the image will automatically be included.
Caption: (write a quick caption of photo)
**Please provide photos showing whole fish and angler with fish**
