The bar is good i don't know what everyone is talking about as the dredging looks good enough it never will be a seaway thats why they are called bars they are always shallow at low tide where the waves break i came back over it last week on dead low tide without touching while still on the plane

Just got back home from the goldie after 3 weeks there the mackerel have started to show up just before the swell picked up got some spanish and spotties on the palm beach reef wednesday is looking good for the weather and an early high tide on the currumbin bar

mark i gather your down the coast any action seems to be not much as i thought they would be there by now heard the water temp is looking good,will try and head down soon,was going to go wednesday but got builders coming and it looks like the swell is picking up for the rest of the week,will keep a eye out and be down there soon as.brad

tugger we dropped 5 BIG mackies off tangalooma shipping beacon on the seekend, couldnt get them in the boat cos dickhead forgot the gaff and net... all caught on livies on the bottom

Have heard from a few mates now the mackerel are just turning up on the gold coast its looking like the last couple of seasons the water will be very warm in close which is ideal for all pelagics like marlin mackerel dollies etc on the inshore reefs this social should be a ripper

for those that like to combine fishing,crabbing and socialising with camping . chat here about past and upcoming trips while catching up with old freinds and making new ones
Everyone is welcome to join the wanderers down at wavebreak island over the weekend of the 11,12,13th of november we will be camping on the northern beach but if you want to drop in for the day to is fine. The seaway and broadwater are good options for fishing inshore and if the weather allows the reefs are close offshore.
If you can bring some firewood and don't forget a fold up chair, we throw up a tarp and small tents are the go. There's deep water just in froont of camp and a sandy beach for the boats which most anchor out then back up to the beach and tie off the back to the trees.
There is plenty of room so the more the merrier

Toga,bass,cod and beer what more to we need
i will be there for this and put some of the mackeral gear to use,will soak some baits and do a bit of trolling.
I'd love to come, just gotta find someone who has a spare seat.
