Quick Guide to Terms and Conditions

• You must always display a friendly and positive attitude
• You must ensure you always act in the best interest of the BFO community
• BFO site administrators and moderators will in most circumstances remove your membership account and ban your IP address without notice if any of these Terms and Conditions are not adhered to.
• If you disagree with a decision of a moderator, you may contact BFO for further information
• Arguing or making derogatory remarks about BFO or moderators will result in an immediate membership removal

• Brisbane Fishing Online is a family orientated fishing community
• Our purpose is to share, help and support others
• Always display a positive, friendly attitude and be respectful of fellow member's opinions
• Allow your fellow members to voice their opinions without censorship
• Do not deliberately start arguments. Debates are great, as long as they remain respectful!
• Always try to give back to our community. For each time you find help or answers here at BFO, try to help someone else out in return.
• Give people a little time to respond to your requests. There's a lot going on in these forums and it may take a little time for people to notice and respond to your request. Please be patient.
• Although you may consider yourself to be an "expert" now, try to remember that we were all new and learning once upon a time. Take it easy on your fellow members!
• Do not make threats or implied threats towards other members - even if only in gest.
• There are no warnings for inappropriate behaviour. If a member is not acting in the best interest of the BFO community they will be removed.
• Content that requires moderation may result in immediate removal of that member's account.
• If you receive a warning from BFO or BFO Moderator consider yourself lucky, any further issues and you will be removed immediately
• Users should keep their discussions friendly in nature and polite.
• You may not post any material which is defamatory, abusive, racist,xxxxually oriented, threatening, etc.

• Any violation of Australian Law will be immediately reported to the Queensland Police or Australian Federal Police for further investigation.
• Posting or linking to anything xxxxographic, spamming, hacking, bypassing any security feature of the site, providing false registration information, registering under multiple user names is strictly prohibited.
• Do not make inappropriate or offensive posts - including threats, harrassment, swearing, prejudice, slander or deliberate insults/name-calling, or other negative remarks about Brisbane Fishing Online, its moderators and administrators, or your fellow members, as well as businesses and companies. Even if this is just your own personal opinion, respect your fellow members and other businesses.
• Do not drag another member's personal site into a forum discussion unless the discussion directly involves that site OR if the member brings his or her own site into the discussion first. There's no point in ruining a good debate by accidentally (or intentionally) offending someone with a personal comment.
• Brisbane Fishing Online believes in integrity and respects what other forums have to offer. Because we realise members of Brisbane Fishing Online may also be members of other forums, do not try to degrade or discredit other forums, their administrators and moderators, or their members.
• This includes slander and other offensive comments.
• Do not post xxxx or adult content. This also includes sites promoting activities such as drug abuse, gambling and links to sites containing such content.
• Please make sure that your posts are written in English.
• We want Brisbane Fishing Online to be open to people of all ages, genders, races, andxxxxualities, so any inappropriate or offensive posts will be deleted
• Please do not embed cookies in your posts in the Brisbane Fishing Online forums
• No blatant advertising, promoting or commercial pitches should be made unless authorised or unless by an authorised sponsor. This includes any links deemed inappropriate or in direct competition to BFO.
• Do not stray from the topic of the thread. Discussing issues and items related to the topic is ok, however new topics should be started in a new thread. Moderators reserve the right to lock threads that have moved off topic, and to remove off topic posts.
• If there is doubt to the authenticity of a member's account we will ban the membership account and will require an appropriate identification check to confirm the authenticity of the account.

• Only material that you are the Copyright holder or have explicit approval of the Copyright holder may be posted onto the site
• Material that violates copyright, trademark, or other laws is not permitted
• Copyright is transferred to BFO of material submitted onto the BFO website and you grant BFO a royalty-free, perpetual, irrevocable, non-exclusive right (including any moral rights) and license to use, license, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish, translate, create derivative works from, distribute, derive revenue or other remuneration from, communicate to the public, perform and display the content (in whole or in part) worldwide and/or to incorporate it in other works in any form, media, or technology now known or later developed, for the full term of any Rights that may exist in such content. You also warrant that the holder of any Rights, including moral rights in such content, has completely and effectively waived all such rights and validly and irrevocably granted to you the right to grant the license stated above.
• BFO has the right to remove, edit, move, retain or close any posting or thread at any time for any reason, at its discretion and without notice.
• All content expresses the views of the person who posted it, not necessarily the views of BFO.
• You are solely responsible for the content of your messages and submissions and also your personal messages.
• You agree to indemnify and hold harmless BFO, its staff, agents and affiliates as well as the developers of the software used for the website with respect to any claims and demands against them, including any attorney fees and expenses, based upon your submission of material to BFO website.
• The BFO website does not vouch for or warrant the accuracy, completeness, or usefulness of any information that it provides. Such information includes but is not limited to: tides, weather, maps, GPS coordinates, forum posts, personal messages, etc.
• If you are between age 13 and 18, you must get your parent's consent to set up an account on the site. If you are below the age of 13, you may not use the BFO website unless we have explicit approval by your legal parent or guardian.
• Advertisements are not permitted without a written contract.

• Photos must be suitable for all members, including children.
• No nudity, lingerie, excessively small swimwear, see-through clothing.
• No depiction of any person who appears to be nude or anyxxxxually suggestive content.
• You grant BFO the right to use submitted images as part of the site, which may include modification of a photo or its caption and the addition of a Brisbane Fishing Online watermark.
• You may link from another site to your photos on the BFO site as long as the watermark, if any, is not changed or obscured.
• Posts linking to images that are outside the BFO site are highly discouraged
• Unless otherwise stated, if you post an image in the forums, please keep the image size under 500K, and preferably under 500 x 500 pixel
• No blacked out or heavily modified or edited images to be posted, instead think before you take the picture what is included in the frame

• Considering the real-time nature of the BFO site, it is impossible to review all content or confirm its validity.
  
• BFO is not obligated to monitor, moderate, or otherwise control content, and any monitoring and moderation, if provided at all, is not real-time or continuous.
  
• Any user who feels that posted material is objectionable is encouraged to report the item on the site or contact BFO.
• Moderators reserve the right to edit or delete any submitted material they consider to be inappropriate or spam.

• Ensure that you are posting for the good of the community, not just for the sake of self-promotion.
• Spamming, advertisements without approval or scamming our members is totally prohibited on any part of the site including harvesting email addresses
• Private Message and Email abuse will result in the immediate removal of your membership and your details including IP will be reported to relevant Australian Government agencies.
• Do not posting affiliate links and press releases
• Commercial surveys are not allowed, unless you have been given explicit permission from BFO
• Do not impersonate anyone whom you are not, regardless of who the other individual may be. Identity theft is illegal and will not be tolerated.

• Read the description of each forum category and ensure you post into the appropriate one.
• Do not post the same topic in multiple forums. If you are unsure of which forum a thread should go under, just state that in your post, and a moderator will move the thread to the correct forum. Multiple posts are unnecessary and will be deleted.

• Do not post the same question multiple times in multiple threads in the same forum. If no one responds to your question or request, please be patient
• Do not make multiple posts. If you want to add something more to the thread and no one has responded since your last post, then edit your last post! Do not make another post.
• Do not bump threads (ie post simply to bring it up the order)
• Signature Restrictions - maximum length of 3 lines, no images or cookie requests allowed, no images or cookie requests allowed, links are allowed but strictly no affiliate, drug, gambling or xxxxographic links and no more than 3 links per signature
• Do not use excessively large font sizes, as it is considered shouting
• Do not use CAPITALS in forum posts or thread titles, as it is considered shouting.

If at any stage you no longer agree with these Terms and Condition you can remove your membership via the site, however any submitted material (including but not limited to forum posts, photos, articles, recipes and events) remains the property of BFO. These Terms and Conditions are subject to change without notification so please ensure you check regularly to ensure you are aware of the current Terms and Conditions.
